Americans Support Investigation of Hillary Clinton, Poll Shows

(HorizonPost.com) – In 2016, a political scandal alleged a connection between former President Donald Trump’s election campaign and the Kremlin. A January poll by TechnoMetrica Institute of Policy and Politics in New Jersey suggests both Republicans and Democrats want authorities to investigate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her role in the scandal. Among the 1,308 surveyed, nearly 3 out of 4 have followed the progression of Russiagate over the years and support an investigation.

Trump denied any such tie or help from the Russian government regarding his presidential win in 2016. He said it was a hoax designed to paint him in a negative light. Authorities indicted Clinton associate Igor Danchenko for allegedly lying to the FBI about sources used to procure information he handed over to the person who created the infamous Steele dossier. Also, prosecutors indicted Clinton’s cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann for claiming a connection between Russia and the Trump Organization when there was no sufficient proof.

It’s reported that 91% of Republicans, 65% of Independents, and about 66% of Democrats who participated in the poll want investigators to dig into the former presidential candidate’s role in allegedly manufacturing lies about Trump and the Kremlin. Time will tell if the court listens to interested Americans on this matter.
