Attorney General Takes A Stand Against Gun Control

(HorizonPost.com) – The shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida on February 14, 2018, was a monstrous act that took the lives of 17 innocents and should never be forgotten. However, this tragedy has also prompted liberal lawmakers, as well as President Joe Biden himself, to push for tougher gun control regulations throughout the U.S.

On the anniversary of the Parkland shooting, Biden released a statement calling on Congress to “enact commonsense gun law reforms.” Since then, he’s received backlash from people like Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who posted a tweet on February 14, saying, “Biden won’t undo the #2A in TX on my watch.”

That wasn’t the only criticism Biden received on social media. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) also tweeted out a statement that said he would fight tooth and nail to defend the right of the people, and suggested that “attacking the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens” isn’t the way to bring about positive change.
