(HorizonPost.com) – President Joe Biden finally presented his first “State of the Union” address before Congress, for all intents and purposes. He’s previously admitted that he’s a “gaffe machine,” but these speeches are generally written days in advance, making one of his comments even more deserving of the ridicule to which it’s been subjected.
He proclaimed the January 6 Capitol Hill riot was the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.” That statement launched a Twitter storm of people schooling him on American history. They were astonished he would place that above the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Oklahoma City bombing and the events of 9/11/2001 (which is recent enough, it barely deserves the label “history”).
9/11 was an attack on our democracy. Flight 93 was headed for the U.S. Capitol, and if not for the brave actions of those on board, it's very possible the building would've been a smoking crater. Instead, it crashed in a field ~20 minutes from DC, & all 40 passengers & crew died. https://t.co/OsGkeXWa7m

However, it does show that Biden doesn’t intend to stop the inflammatory — and often imaginary — rhetoric the Liberals used to vilify President Donald Trump and Conservatives during the 2020 election. Unfortunately, with the Oval Office and both houses of Congress in the hands of the Democrats, it will be challenging for Americans to shovel away the… poop… to get to the truth.
