(HorizonPost.com) – The People’s Republic of China (PRC) has displayed increasing aggression since the emergence of the worldwide pandemic that seemingly began in the city of Wuhan in the Hubei province. They’ve recently upped their belligerent rhetoric regarding the United States’ relationship with Taiwan and their military posturing near the island nation.
China told the US on Tuesday to stop playing with fire over Taiwan and lodged a complaint after Washington issued guidelines that will enable U.S. officials to meet more freely with officials from the island that China claims as its own. | @reuters https://t.co/AWur5BTPfY

The Communist nation refuses to recognize Taiwan as anything but a “breakaway province” that they call Chinese Taipei. Additionally, it’s recently begun flying military drones near the country’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ). And now, they’ve escalated the threat by sending 25 manned aircraft, including jet fighters and nuclear-capable bombers, to violate the island’s airspace.
In response to a US State Department’s recommitment to Taiwan’s independence, the PRC’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian, China’s Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warned America not to “play with fire” on the matter. He also demanded the US immediately break off any official contact with Taiwan.
