Democrats Drop New Info On Ron DeSantis

( – A left-wing organization has put together a document on Ron DeSantis in which they label him a “MAGA extremist.” The document is entitled DeSantisResearchBook and contains details on the Governor’s record as a Congressman, as well as decisions he’s made since becoming leader of the Sunshine State. In reference to his feud with Disney, it describes DeSantis as a “bumbling, corrupt and authoritarian politician.” The group responsible is the American Bridge 21st Century organization. Its leader, Pat Dennis, said DeSantis is unfit for office and consumed in culture wars, such that he is ill-prepared for the role of Republican nominee or for President.

The same group released a similar document about Donald Trump in the run-up to the 2020 Presidential poll. The publication is likely to provide a boost to DeSantis as it indicates that the Democrats are worried about his potential success. Such concerns may also be plaguing the front-runner Donald Trump, who has launched a series of attacks on the Governor. Allies of DeSantis have said that Trump is worried about the challenge and said the Florida Governor is “living rent-free” in the mind of the former President. “This is a two-man race, and Trump knows it. Gov. DeSantis has an increasing base of support in key early voting states,” said Erin Perrine, a former White House communications official.

Trump refers to the Floridian as “Ron DeSanctimonious” and has called him “ignorant and foolish” thanks to his muddled response to the war in Ukraine. Having initially described the conflict as a “territorial dispute”, DeSantis peddled backward and said that he had been unclear in his comments, before adding that Russian President Putin is a war criminal who needs to be held to account. Trump said this approach is entirely wrong and that Russia needs to be treated with respect, or peace cannot be achieved. He has claimed he will end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours if he is re-elected to the White House in 2024.
