(HorizonPost.com) – With so many scandals piling up for Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), many Republicans are hopeful it may make him vulnerable to defeat. One who might be interested has a name that New Yorkers will recognize: Andrew Giuliani. Guiliani is the son of Rudy Guiliani, former New York City Mayor and attorney for former President Donald Trump.
'Andrew Giuliani, a former top aide to President Donald Trump and son of “America’s Mayor,” is “heavily considering” a bid for governor of NY in 2022, potentially setting up an epic clash between the 2 biggest political families in recent NY history.' https://t.co/NZJJN6QLNq

The younger Giuliani served in the former president’s administration as a special assistant and associate director within the Office of Public Liaison, potentially a boon to any hopeful candidate. An endorsement from President Trump could lend anyone a big boost towards getting their name on the ballot. Representative Lee Zeldin (R-NY), a long-time friend of the former First Family, would also like Trump’s endorsement. He’s already put his hat into the ring to challenge for the party nomination to run for governor.
Andrew Giuliani is proceeding in a way that won’t rock the boat. He’s spoken with both his former boss and Rep. Zeldin, who he said shares his desire to “figure out how to help save New York.” It’s an admirable goal, but even in the face of Cuomo’s disgrace, the state is a very deep shade of blue.
