(HorizonPost.com) – It’s important for firearm owners to have proper weapons training and to use their guns responsibly. On November 18, a Florida man, Brandon Lucas Craig, who worked at the Broward County Fair, got into an argument with another person, pulled out his gun, and fired two shots in the air. One of the bullets traveled through the first floor of a nearby living facility, where it struck a 91-year-old woman in the foot.
Doctors transported the wounded senior to the hospital, where she’s likely to make a full recovery.
According to police, Brandon Lucas Craig was working one of the carnival games for the fair operators and got into an argument, pulled out a gun and fired a shot in the air.

Carnival officials didn’t shut down the fair because there was no ongoing threat to people in the area. Craig was fired on the spot, and police arrested him. He faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, and carrying a concealed weapon.
To help patrons enjoy their time at the fair, the Margate Police Department sent officers to patrol the grounds to ensure safety for all.
There’s no word as to why the carnival employee was carrying a weapon at the fairgrounds at 4:30 a.m., but if the court finds him guilty of the charges against him, he may see hefty prison time and permanently lose his right to possess a firearm.
