(HorizonPost.com) – In the aftermath of the November 2020 presidential election, instances of irregularities in ballot handling and the security of electronic voting machines continue to arise. The leftists have continually mocked and discredited any attempts to get to the truth, but a group of more than two dozen Republicans in the House of Representatives have asked the president to instruct Attorney General (AG) William Barr to appoint a special counsel to investigate the matter.
Last week, I asked that @realDonaldTrump instruct the Attorney General to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate election irregularities.
Now twenty-six Republican colleagues have joined me in calling for an independent investigation to restore faith in our elections!

The letter they presented states the reason for their request is to ensure the American people can have confidence in the electoral process — which studies suggest has been waning. This is so the appointee can continue the investigation regardless of who becomes president. An independent investigator can only be removed by an AG, and even then only for “good cause.”
Even if it ends up being cold comfort, at least the people know that the investigation into the matter will continue. Sometimes the best the legal process can do is to vindicate someone after the fact.
