Iran Blames Israel for Massive Attack

Iran Admits That Israel Beat Them With New Scheme

(HorizonPost.com) – Israel is a frequent target of Islamic jihad and faces constant threats to its existence from its neighbors, especially from the world’s worst nation-state sponsor of terrorism: the Islamic Republic of Iran. The specter of that regime obtaining nuclear weapons allegedly prompted the Jewish state to make a preemptive strike upon the Natanz nuclear facility by destroying a power plant buried 150 feet below ground. This damaged thousands of centrifuges used to enrich uranium, the process used to purify it for power plants… and weapons.

The Attack

If the Israeli public radio report is accurate, the country’s premier intelligence agency, the Mossad, played an active role in the attack. The Jerusalem Post said the explosives were smuggled into the facility and later were detonated remotely.

That also seems to be the scenario Iranian officials believe. Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh held a news conference about the event and issued a warning that his country “will get its revenge at the proper time and place.” The nature of when and where that might come was left — probably intentionally — unclear.

International Fallout

According to the Tasnim News Agency, the People’s Republic of China denounced the attack as one that “can bring unpredictable and inestimable consequences.” President Joe Biden’s administration was quick to keep its distance in light of his desire to return the United States to the deal brokered under his former boss, Barack Obama, giving hundreds of billions of dollars to Iran.

A military strike against another sovereign nation is nothing to be taken lightly, but neither is a rogue nation becoming a nuclear threat to the region. Perhaps President Biden should remember the Islamic country hates America as much or more than it does Israel. Dealings with Iran on any issue warrant extreme caution.
