Joe Biden Sets New Record After More Than a Month in Office

Joe Biden Sets New Record After 40 Days in Office

(HorizonPost.com) – On the 20th day after he took office, President Barack Obama held his first face-to-face press conference with the media. For President Donald Trump, it was the 27th day. On March 3, 2021, GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel took to Twitter, noting Joe Biden was at day 42 [and still counting], and asked, “why is he so afraid of answering questions?”

The question has been floating around media sites, as well, and the Associated Press ran an article quoting well-known political analyst Frank Sesno as saying, in part, that Biden is not an accomplished speaker or comfortable with spontaneous, unrehearsed interactions. Sesno noted, “He rambles.”

During the 2020 campaign season, Biden once described himself as a “gaffe machine,” which could indicate why his staff may have a hand in keeping him away from the podium longer than any president in the past 100 years.

During the run-up to the election, he also made several promises to be transparent and let the American people know what’s going on. Perhaps when he made those promises, he meant that he would be like Casper the Friendly Ghost?
