Joe Biden Sets Record for Most Executive Orders in First Week

(HorizonPost.com) – Newly-elected President Joe Biden single-handedly provided an economic boom to at least one company: the one that makes the pens he uses when he signs executive orders. The country’s chief executive uses multiple pens during the signing of official documents as souvenirs, and he’s going through them at a rapid clip.

In his first week in office, Biden has signed more edicts (33) than the past 4 administrations combined (Trump-4/Obama-5/GW Bush-0/Clinton-1). Among these, he’s dictated the 2020 census count must include noncitizens because of the apportionment of seats in the House of Representatives. This mandate would allow states with high numbers of illegal aliens, primarily blue ones, to increase their power. And, he began the groundwork for a $15-per-hour federal minimum wage.

The Democrats hold the majority in the House of Representatives, with VP Kamala Harris holding the tiebreaker in the 50/50 Senate, leading some pundits to call this administration’s governing technique “rule by decree.”

One has to wonder if Biden views himself as the President of the United States of America or the Emperor.
