(HorizonPost.com) – Lin Wood is well-known throughout the country as an attorney and staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump. He recently worked as part of the legal team for several lawsuits related to the highly disputed 2020 presidential election on Trump’s behalf. Now, he’s revealed his intention to jump into the world of politics.
Wood announced his decision to challenge incumbent Drew McKissick for the South Carolina Republican Party’s chairmanship on Sunday, March 28, using his Telegram account.

Wood wrote that several concerned “conservative patriots” approached him about challenging McKissick. According to him, they said the state had “endured enough RINO Republicanism” under the state’s current leadership.
However, there is a huge hurdle in his way. Donald Trump already endorsed McKissick for the position back in February. Despite Wood’s recent work on behalf of the former president, Trump reiterated his support for McKissick on March 30.
