(HorizonPost.com) – A lot can change over four years, including one’s opinion of a person, especially if one forms it before knowing or working with that person. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is no different than any other person in that respect, as proved by his comments in a Newsmax interview about former President Donald Trump’s influence in the Republican Party.
During the 2016 Republican primary race, the Senator was one of the many hopefuls seeking to set the country right after eight years of devastation under President Barack Obama. To say he wasn’t a Trump fan would be a gross understatement. But, as he explained their working relationship during the former president’s administration, they came together to do a lot of good for the country.
Senator Rubio believes the GOP’s 2024 nomination is the former president’s for the taking should he decide he wants to run again. Rubio’s changed viewpoint would see him put aside his own possible ambitions to support Donald Trump in another bid for the presidency.
