(HorizonPost.com) – Starting the day after he beat Hillary Clinton in November 2016, President Donald Trump proved at least one thing: the Democrats are not afraid to weaponize the Constitution. They’ll be doing so again with the expected formal transmittal of a second article of impeachment against him to the United States Senate.
Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) took to the airwaves and Twitter to give his opinion on the matter. He and other GOP members of the Senate are united in their efforts to shut down this charade.

He made several points, including calling the Liberals “arrogant” for making the sole purpose of impeachment a plot to disqualify the former president from running again in 2024. He also noted this is not the path to unity and will continue to splinter the country further.
Well-known attorney and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz publicly stated on Newsmax TV that the House has violated the Constitution on several counts. He stated that impeachment is designed to remove a president, and not to keep them out of office once they’ve already finished their term. That doesn’t seem to be stopping the Dems, though.
