(HorizonPost.com) – Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene accused President Biden and Democrats of supporting inappropriate behavior around children, according to The Daily Mail. Her comments came during a “60 Minutes” interview with Leslie Stahl, who questioned the Georgia representative about the claims she has made in the past.
Greene asserted that children have recently been seen inappropriately by Democrats, which she said can be seen by their support of trans surgeries and “gender-affirming care.” Her inflammatory comments caused Democrats to strip her of her committee assignments when they controlled the House, although she has since regained her stature in the House when Republicans won back control after the November 2022 midterms.
The congresswoman reasserted the claim that Democrats like to groom children and cited their advocacy for transgenderism. Democrats have accused Republicans of lying about “child-friendly” drag shows, but numerous reports and videos have been surfacing of children performing in drag and dancing for money in front of adults.
“Democrats want civil war,” she claimed when talking about the recent indictment against former President Donald Trump. Republicans have called it a weaponization of the justice system and a skewed set of priorities given the rampant crime currently facing New York City.
Greene also responded to criticism of her previous support of the right-wing conspiracy group QAnon. She said that she was “sucked into some things” on the internet but never campaigned on them. She then moved to the war in Ukraine and claimed that she does not support funding a war, adding that the United States should be focused on making peace instead.
While Russia alleges to be open to peace talks, Putin is unmoving in certain areas. He demands that Ukraine not join the European Union or NATO, citing security concerns, and wants sovereignty over Crimea.
