(HorizonPost.com) – Many far-Left Democrats have been loud in their calls to “defund the police.” Radical Representatives Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) have gone further, saying the organizations can’t be reformed and should be disbanded. To counter some of the negativity and hate coming from the Liberals, Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the state’s next budget will include a tangible “thank you” for all first responders, including police officers, EMTs, and firefighters.
Some want to defund the police.
In Florida, we’re funding them & then some by providing all of our heroes $1,000 bonuses. This represents more than 174,000 first responders across the state!

That appreciation will take the form of a $1000 bonus for each of them, letting them know the governor noticed their sacrifices and hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. West Palm Beach Police Sgt. Adam Myers acknowledged the amount of money isn’t going to change any lives but still said, “I’m very appreciative.”
John Kazanjian, President of the Florida Police Benevolent Association, said the token of appreciation shows DeSantis “definitely has our back, and we’ve got his back.” Law enforcement is a dangerous job at the best of times, but with Radicals spewing vitriol, law-abiding citizens need to stand behind them now more than ever.
