Steve Bannon SMILING After This – His Plan Worked!

Steve Bannon Just Got What He Always Wanted

(HorizonPost.com) – Steven Bannon was recently sentenced to four months in prison for his refusal to comply with a subpoena from the January 6th Select Committee investigation, according to CNN. But, as the outlet also reported, “in a strange way, it’s what he’s always wanted.”

Bannon was also issued a $6,500 fine for his contempt. Bannon has previously argued that he cannot comply with the January 6th subpoena because his conversations with then-President Trump are protected by executive privilege.

Judge Carl Nichols, who knocked down Bannon’s “executive privilege” argument reportedly lectured Bannon for not providing testimony to the committee.

“The events of January 6 were undeniably serious…many of the rioters planned to come to the Capitol with the express purpose of interrupting the proceedings. Many… used violence,” the judge said.

Bannon has always reportedly fashioned himself as a political and establishment outsider, and his recent sentencing, which he calls a “Moscow show trial” is further vindication of that label. While CNN calls his idea that there is a “deep state bureaucracy” unfounded, it serves the mainstream media well to dispute such claims as it benefits their political side while hurting their enemies.

After the verdict, Bannon has come out louder than ever against the corrupt Biden regime.

“On November 8, there’s going to (be) judgment on the illegitimate Biden regime,” Bannon said. “And quite frankly, Nancy Pelosi and the entire committee.”

Now that his going to prison is very likely, he can validate himself as a political prisoner who was unjustly incriminated by the anti-Trump regime bent on prosecuting their political opponents, CNN reported.

Bannon, who has since been released, will have the opportunity to submit an appeal by November 15. Without an appeal, Bannon will be expected to voluntarily surrender to serve his prison term.

Senior writer and journalist for American Greatness released a court document that suggested Bannon was prosecuted for criticizing the January 6 Committee.

“Through his public platforms, the Defendant has used hyperbolic and sometimes violent rhetoric to disparage the Committee’s investigation, personally attack the Committee’s members, and ridicule the criminal justice system. The Defendant’s statements prove that his contempt was not aimed at protecting executive privilege or the Constitution, rather it was aimed at undermining the Committee’s efforts to investigate an historic attack on government,” the filing read.
