(HorizonPost.com) – Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is no stranger to hypocritical behavior, such as her trip to a San Francisco area hair salon without the required face mask. Now, a man who once held her same gavel has called her out on her latest stunt.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R) wrote an opinion piece for Fox News on March 29, ripping Pelosi and the other House Democrats for inserting themselves into the disputed race for the seat belonging to Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District.

Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks was certified the winner by a margin of six votes by the state’s bipartisan election board over Democrat Rita Hart. After Miller-Meeks’ win, Hart decided to challenge the results. As Gingrich explained, knowing she had a better chance with Pelosi than the courts, Hart decided to bypass the standard legal channels and appealed directly to the US House to name the race’s victor.
The Democratic-led House has a reputation for acting in a partisan fashion. It wasn’t that long ago that it voted to impeach former President Donald Trump for a second time along party lines.
