Trump Press Conference Interrupted By Heckler

(HorizonPost.com) – A press conference by Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina was interrupted by a heckler who repeatedly called the attorney a “f***ing neanderthal.” Speaking to the media at a Manhattan courthouse, Tacopina defended the former President against claims that he raped writer E. Jean Carroll in the 1990s. Trump was found not liable for rape at a civil trial, but the jury did find him liable for sexual abuse and defamation and ordered him to compensate Carroll with a payment of $5 million.

The case relates to allegations made by the writer that Trump raped her at a department store. She also alleges that he defamed her on his Truth social media account when he insisted he did not know her and that she had fabricated the story. The New York jury took just three hours to find him liable.

Tacopina said the short time it took for the jury to return its verdict was proof of Trump’s claim that he cannot get a fair trial in New York City. As the heckling continued, the attorney should down the Manhattan press conference.

At a sit-down interview with CNN after the verdict, Donald Trump once again claimed not to know Carroll and referred to her as a “whack job.” Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned CNN and said the network should not give the former President a platform. She said the decision to do so was “shameful” and “irresponsible.”

The latest legal battle is one of many faced by the former President. He continues to insist that he is the subject of a witch hunt aimed at interfering in the Presidential election in 2024.

He was sensationally indicted on 34 felony counts by Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg in March. The charges relate to payments made to adult actress Stormy Daniels in 2016 by ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen. The payment is said to be “hush money” in exchange for Daniels’ silence regarding an alleged with the former President. Trump denies any relationship with the actress. President Trump also faces the possibility of criminal charges in Georgia for allegedly trying to influence the 2020 result in that state.
