(HorizonPost.com) – Recently obtained emails reveal that officials from the State Department and Pentagon have been coordinating with an anti-Israel group since at least 2022 to isolate Israeli Jews living in the West Bank.
The internal government emails show that State and Pentagon officials were regularly communicating with the group Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN), a fierce critic of the Israeli government that has been lobbying the Biden administration to end military aid to Israel.
DAWN was instrumental in pushing administration officials away from engaging with Israeli Jews both in the West Bank and the contested regions of Jerusalem. It is now leveraging its influence with the administration to push for further sanctions against IDF units for alleged human rights abuses.
America First Legal senior counsel Reed Rubinstein said the emails reveal a disturbing trend of coordination between the Biden administration and anti-Israel groups. Rubinstein noted that DAWN is not only “virulently anti-Israel” but has also boasted of its “sponsorship” by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas front group.
Rubenstein said key officials within the Biden administration “are infected with a fundamental, and deeply perverse, hatred for Israel and the Jewish people.”
The Biden administration last week halted a shipment of ammunition to Israel less than two weeks after President Biden signed a foreign aid package to provide Israel with military aid, reportedly over the administration’s opposition to the planned assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
A spokesperson for the National Security Council dismissed the claim, citing the US’s ongoing assistance to Israel since the October 7 terrorist attacks. The spokesperson insisted that the US would “continue to do what is necessary to ensure Israel can defend itself from the threats it faces.”
The news comes after it was revealed on Sunday that major Biden donors, including George Soros, the Tides Foundation, Nick and Susan Pritzker, and David Rockefeller Jr., were bankrolling the far-left organizations behind the organized pro-Hamas protests on US college campuses.
