Hollywood Actor Accused of Stabbing Girlfriend

(HorizonPost.com) – An actor was arrested in connection to the May 23 stabbing of his estranged girlfriend in her Los Angeles home after he was detained at the Texas border on his way to Mexico.

According to a May 29 news release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, 34-year-old Nick Pasqual, who has appeared in minor roles on several television shows and films, was charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary, and injuring a “cohabitant” for allegedly stabbing his former girlfriend multiple times.

The victim was later identified as make-up artist Allie Shehorn.

The incident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 23 when Pasqual allegedly broke into Shehorn’s Sunland residence in Los Angeles and stabbed her multiple times.

An arrest warrant was issued for Pasqual the following day.

According to the district attorney’s office, Pasqual fled the state following the incident and traveled to Sierra Blanca, Texas where he was detained at a checkpoint at the US-Mexico border.

Shehorn, who had recently filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, was hospitalized and listed in critical condition.

Pasqual was also accused of inflicting great bodily injury during an incident of domestic violence using a knife in the commission of the crime, according to the news release.

If convicted of the multiple charges against him, Pasqual could face a maximum sentence of life in state prison.

District Attorney George Gascón said in the news release that the person responsible for the attack would be held accountable.

According to an update posted on the GoFundMe page set up on behalf of Allie Shehorn, the victim has made “positive steps to her recovery” and was “facing it with courage and determination.”

As of May 30, the GoFundMe drive had raised more than $93,000 for Shehorn’s medical and living expenses.

Pasqual appeared on an episode of the hit sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.” His most recent role was an uncredited appearance in the film “Rebel Moon,” according to his listing on the Internet Movie Database.
