Claims Emerge About Tiger Woods’ Alleged Doping

( – Another golfer repeated the rumors that legendary PGA star Tiger Woods at one time used performance-enhancing drugs, Fox News reported.

In an interview on Outkick’s podcast “Don’t @ Me” with host Dan Dakich, former PGA golfer Mark Lye was asked about the rumors that have plagued Woods for years. Dakich asked Lye if people in the know believed that Woods had used PEDs “in the past.”

Lye confirmed that everyone talked about it, except for those “in Tiger’s corner” who told others to “shut up about it.”

Lye said while nobody ever came out and admitted it, there was “no doubt.” He suggested that the vast majority of people were aware that Woods was using steroids.

Naturally, Lye offered no specific details.

The rumors that Woods used performance-enhancing drugs have been around for years.

The 2014 book “Blood Sport: Alex Rodriguez, Biogenesis and the Quest to End Baseball’s Steroid Era” recounted that Woods was receiving treatment from the controversial doctor Anthony Galea, a Canadian physician specializing in sports medicine.

Galea was sentenced to one year of supervised release in 2011 after pleading guilty to bringing performance-enhancing drugs into the United States.

Former golfer Dan Olsen claimed in 2015 that Woods had been secretly suspended from the PGA Tour after failing a drug test.

Olsen told WVFN radio host David DeMarco that he heard that Woods received a one-month suspension for testing positive and suggested that Tiger Woods would become as infamous as cyclist Lance Armstrong “when it’s all said and done.”

However, the PGA tour denied Olsen’s claim.

Mark Steinberg, Woods’ agent told The Golf News Network at the time that Olsen’s claim was “absolutely, unequivocally, and completely false.”

Olsen later walked back his claim.

Fox News sought comment from Steinberg about Lye’s allegation, however, he did not respond.

This past weekend, Tiger Woods played all four rounds at the Masters in Augusta finishing 16-over par to mark one of the worst showings of his career.
