(HorizonPost.com) – Donald Trump will hold a fundraiser during the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville on Saturday, where tickets top out at $844,600 a person.
Trump is expected to deliver a keynote address at the Nashville conference, the largest gathering of crypto fans in the country.
According to the invitation, the top-tier ticket price includes a seat at a roundtable discussion with the former president. The $844,600 price is the maximum amount individuals are permitted to donate to the joint fundraising committee of the RNC and the Trump campaign known as the Trump 47 Committee.
For a $60,000 per person and $100,000 per couple ticket price, donors will get a photo with Donald Trump.
The former president agreed to headline the fundraiser earlier this month before he was nearly assassinated on July 13.
The former president has billed himself as the pro-cryptocurrency candidate in 2024, something of a reversal from his position during his first term in office.
The Trump campaign accepts donations in digital currency and the nominee has pledged to defend those who opt for self-custody of their crypto coins rather than relying on centralized entities like Coinbase.
While addressing the Libertarian Convention in Washington this spring, Trump vowed to stop Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s crusade against crypto.
During a meeting with Bitcoin mining executives at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump pledged that all future Bitcoin would be minted in the United States if he was elected in November.
Trump’s choice of JD Vance as his running mate was seen as a win for the cryptocurrency sector because the Ohio Republican has fought against stricter regulations for crypto – a dramatic shift from the current administration which has taken a draconian approach toward cryptocurrency.
After Trump named Vance as his VP pick, the founders of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz informed employees that they would be making significant donations to Trump-aligned political action committees.
Last month, crypto executives, venture capitalists, and tech executives attended a Trump fundraiser in San Francisco where they paid as much as $300,000 a ticket. The fundraiser brought in over $12 million for the Trump campaign.
