Russia Delivers Threat To The United States: “Catastrophic Consequences…”

(HorizonPost.com) – As the United States and its NATO allies continue to funnel money and military equipment into Ukraine to ward off the Russian invasion, Russia delivered a threat in response, according to Breitbart. Should the West continue to put its nose in its affairs, the Kremlin warned that there will be “catastrophic consequences.”

The threat came during the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov. He blamed the policies of the U.S. and NATO for instigating the war. Ryabkov’s comment comes after the United States just send an additional $45 billion to Ukraine, according to American Pigeon

It also came after NATO promised Ukraine membership in the. Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg acknowledged that this approval will be a long-term goal.

The U.S. currently leads the world in how much money it has donated to the war effort at over $195 billion, according to Fox News, the Associated Press, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has visited the top four donors.

While the foreign minister was speaking, many Western diplomats reportedly stepped out for a photo op with the Ukrainian flag. Ukraine’s ambassador Yevheniia Filipenko told AFP that the photo was designed to show solidarity with Ukraine. British ambassador Simon Manley reiterated the sentiment, saying that the fight in Ukraine is also England’s fight.

Zelensky recently said that if Ukraine does not receive even more financial and military assistance, then the U.S. will have to send its citizens to fight against Russia because they are obligated to under NATO’s rules, according to CNN. In July 2022, amid fears that the U.S. was giving too much money to Ukraine while inflation was increasing, Zelensky said that “inflation is nothing,” arguing that Ukrainians are dying for the values of America, according to Newsweek.
