(HorizonPost.com) – A man visiting Walt Disney World with friends on Monday decided to jump into the World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT on a bet, Fox 13 reported.
A video of the stunt was posted on the Instagram account @disfamily_adventures by Brendan and Gwyn.
According to Brendan and Gwyn, a group of friends had said something about betting the man $6,000 if he jumped into the lagoon.
In the video, the man can be heard asking how deep the water is before jumping in.
Bystanders are heard in the video warning the guy that he would get in trouble, with one person shouting that the man would “get kicked out of Disney.”
Before he even jumped into the water, a Disney manager was on the radio calling security. By the time the man climbed back out to join his friends, security was there to meet him.
According to the park rules outlined on the Walt Disney World website, Disney reserves the right to eject any guest or deny admission or entry, without a refund, if the guest fails to comply with the rules or engages in “unsafe, illegal, or offensive behavior.”
Disney World did not respond to Fox 13’s request for comment so it is unclear if any criminal charges were filed against the man.
