Watch Taylor Swift Handle Boos at Chiefs Game

(HorizonPost.com) – Page Six reported that NFL fans at the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium booed singer Taylor Swift when she appeared on the large screen jumbotron during the Patriots’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.

Swift was in attendance to cheer on her boyfriend, Kansas City player Travis Kelce, and was watching the game with her father Scott Swift and her friend Brittany Mahomes when the jumbotron panned to the suite where she was sitting.

According to Page Six, the singer first laughed off the boos and jeers, and then quickly shrugged them off to focus on the game.

However, the Boston Globe reported on Sunday that fans at Gillette Stadium had “swooned” over Swift’s presence, with many showing up with homemade signs welcoming the singer to New England.

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi was also in attendance at the game with Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Bon Jovi also kicked off the game by ringing the bell on top of the stadium’s lighthouse, according to the Globe.

Swift, who was recently named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year, dismissed the purported bad blood between her and NFL fans when speaking to the publication.

Swift told Time that she usually doesn’t notice if her image is displayed on television or the jumbotron. She said no matter what suite she is in during the game, a camera always finds her and films her during the broadcast. She joked that she doesn’t know if she shows up only once or 17 times during a game.

Swift told Time that she only attends the games to support her boyfriend and is not aware of whether she is getting too much airtime during the broadcast or whether it is “pissing off a few days, Brads, and Chads.”
