Democrat Says Any “Journalist” Reporting “Twitter Files” Is A “Threat”

( – When Elon Musk took over at Twitter, he released internal documents and emails showing the collusion between big tech and big government, such as the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story leading up to the 2020 election. The FBI, for their part, admitted as much when they issued a statement that read that the correspondence between the both of them was part of a “traditional and longstanding engagement,” according to American Pigeon.

The internal documents, known as the “Twitter Files,” were released by independent journalists, such as Matt Taibbi and Michael Schellenberger. During the House Judiciary Committee hearing last week, Democratic Delegate Stacey E. Plaskett targeted the two witnesses as “so-called journalists” who were chosen to put out selective screenshots that promote Elon Musk’s narrative, according to The Daily Caller

She continued to say that the Twitter Files threatens former employees and subjects them to harassment, citing Yoel Roth. Roth, then-head of site integrity, has said that he and other former employees have been harassed as a result of the “cherry-picked and out-of-context data” within the Twitter Files.

Plasket also said that Roth was attacked and accused of pedophilia. The controversy arose when Musk reportedly shared a screenshot of a dissertation Roth wrote in 2016, stating that gay individuals are already using apps like Grindr and suggesting the app take safety measures to accommodate them safely.

Roth was also criticized for calling former President Donald Trump a “Nazi,” which indicated to many his political bias.

After displaying the video of Roth speaking about his lack of safety, Plasket said that the journalists are a direct threat, prompting the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Republican Rep. Jim Jordan to laugh. He clarified that what she was saying was “crazy.”

She finished her remarks by saying that collusion between big tech and government is false.
