Rural Voters Mocked By MSNBC Panel

( – MSNBC’s election night panel laughed at the idea that the number one issue for Virginia Republican voters was immigration, the Washington Examiner reported.

In a clip from MSNBC’s Super Tuesday coverage featuring former Biden press secretary Jen Psaki, Joy Reid, Nicolle Wallace, and Rachel Maddow, Psaki expressed surprise at the responses to exit polls on Super Tuesday. She noted that she lived in Virginia and was stunned that exit polling found that the number one issue for Virginians was immigration.

Rachel Maddow sarcastically noted that Virginia did have “a border with West Virginia,” prompting the panel to laugh.

However, as Republicans have repeatedly argued, Biden’s border policies have ensured that every state in the country is now a border state.

Just two weeks ago, a Venezuelan national in the country illegally was arrested for the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Virginia.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on February 27 that 32-year-old Renzo Mendoza Montes was apprehended by Border Patrol after crossing the border near El Paso, Texas in early September of last year.

Mendoza Montes was briefly detained and released pending processing and eventually ended up in Campbell County in the state that shares a border with West Virginia. Once in Campbell County, Mendoza Montes raped an underage girl. That could explain why Virginia voters are concerned about immigration.

The Washington Post’s exit polling on Super Tuesday found that around 40 percent of Republican voters both in Virginia and North Carolina said immigration was their top issue in the 2024 election.

A February Gallup poll found that 28 percent of respondents cited immigration as the country’s most pressing problem, an 8-point jump from the Gallup poll conducted in January.

According to internal government projections obtained by Axios, by the end of FY2024 in September, there could be more than 8 million so-called migrants living in the United States. This would be a 167 percent increase in the number of illegal aliens in just five years.
